This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every Bigdomainhost service and to everyone who uses it, including your clients and sub-users. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
We keep this list concrete rather than vague, so you can tell in advance whether something is allowed. If you are unsure, ask first: support@bigdomainhost.com or +91 75994 50220.
1. Illegal and prohibited content
You may not store, transmit or link to:
- child sexual abuse material, in any form — this results in immediate termination and a report to the authorities, without notice or refund;
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, patent or trade secret rights (see the DMCA & abuse policy);
- material that is obscene under Indian law, or that violates the IT Act, 2000 or the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023;
- content promoting terrorism, communal hatred, or violence against any person or group;
- fraudulent schemes — phishing pages, fake KYC portals, Ponzi and matrix schemes, fake lotteries, forged documents;
- unlicensed pharmacy, gambling, betting or lottery operations targeting jurisdictions where they are prohibited;
- content that violates a person's privacy or publishes personal data without a lawful basis.
2. Email, spam and messaging
- No unsolicited bulk email, SMS or WhatsApp messaging of any kind, whether sent from our network or merely advertising a site hosted here.
- Mailing lists must be confirmed opt-in. Keep the subscription evidence; we will ask for it.
- No forged headers, open relays, open proxies or hijacked mail servers.
- Shared and reseller plans are limited to 250 outbound messages per hour per cPanel account. High-volume senders should use a dedicated IP with proper SPF, DKIM and DMARC, or a transactional email provider.
- Keep a working abuse@ and postmaster@ address for every domain you host.
3. Security and network abuse
- No port scanning, vulnerability scanning, brute-force attempts or penetration testing against systems you do not own — and none against ours without written permission.
- No denial-of-service traffic, amplification or reflection attacks, originating from or directed through our network.
- No distribution of malware, ransomware, keyloggers, botnet controllers or exploit kits.
- No sniffing, spoofing or interception of traffic that is not yours.
- Keep your software patched. An outdated CMS or plugin that gets your site compromised is still your responsibility, and a compromised site that attacks others will be suspended until it is cleaned.
4. Resource use
- Shared, cPanel, WordPress and reseller plans run under CPU, memory, I/O, inode and entry-process limits. Sustained use above your plan's limits is throttled, and we will ask you to move to a VPS.
- Crypto-mining, coin-hosting, blockchain nodes and distributed-computing clients are not permitted on shared, WordPress, cloud or reseller plans. They are allowed on VPS, VDS and dedicated servers, within the plan's resource allocation.
- No public file-sharing, torrent trackers or seedboxes on shared plans. Torrent clients are permitted on VPS and dedicated servers only for lawful content you have the right to distribute.
- Backups of unrelated systems, media libraries and archives are not “website files” under the fair-use clause of the Terms.
- Public proxies, VPN exit nodes and Tor exit relays are not permitted on shared plans, and require prior written approval on VPS and dedicated servers.
5. Resellers
If you resell our services, you are the first line of support for your clients and you are responsible for their compliance with this AUP. Pass these rules on, respond to abuse reports we forward within 24 hours, and keep accurate contact details for every account you create.
6. How we enforce this
Our default is to contact you first. Depending on severity we will:
- Notify you by email and phone, and give a reasonable time to fix it — the usual path for resource use, an outdated plugin or a single spam complaint;
- Throttle or null-route a service that is degrading the network, while we work with you;
- Suspend the service where the breach is ongoing, serious or repeated;
- Terminate without notice and without refund where the content is illegal, where there is a risk to other customers, or where we are ordered to by a competent authority.
7. Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from our network, email support@bigdomainhost.com with the subject line “ABUSE REPORT”, and include the offending URL or IP, timestamps with timezone, and full message headers where relevant. We acknowledge within 24 hours and act within 36 hours of verifying a report. Urgent matters: +91 75994 50220.
