Is Tally on Cloud right for you?

The problem it actually solves

Tally on one office PC means one person can use it, the data is only as safe as that machine, and your CA gets a backup emailed to them in a zip. Multiply that by two branches and it becomes a merging problem that nobody wins.

Putting Tally on a server moves it somewhere everybody can reach at once. There is one copy of the data, it is backed up whether or not anyone remembers, and access is granted and revoked by you rather than by who has the keys to the office.

Who it fits

Businesses with more than one location — branch, warehouse, showroom — that currently reconcile by emailing backups.
Owners who travel and want the books open from a laptop or a phone.
Firms whose CA needs live access at quarter end rather than a snapshot from last week.
Anyone whose Tally data is on a machine with no backup, which is more businesses than admit it.

Who it does not fit

A single-user Tally on a reliable office PC with a disciplined backup routine does not need this. Nor does a business with genuinely unreliable internet — RDP is light, but it is not optional. We will say so on the phone rather than sell you a server you do not need.

We do not sell Tally licences and we do not rent you one. You keep your own Tally Prime licence and activate it on the cloud server exactly as you would on a desktop. Silver is single-user; if two people need Tally open at the same time you need Gold. That is Tally Solutions' rule, not ours, and we will tell you before you buy rather than after.

What is Tally on Cloud?

Your existing Tally Prime, installed on a Windows server in an Indian data centre instead of one office PC. You reach it over Remote Desktop from a laptop, a second branch or a phone, and everyone sees the same company data at the same time. Nothing about the way you use Tally changes — it is the same screen, on someone else's hardware.

How much does Tally on Cloud cost in India?

From ₹1,499/mo excluding GST for a Windows instance sized for one or two concurrent users, up to ₹7,299/mo for a twenty-user deployment. There is no per-user licence fee from us — you bring your own Tally licence and we charge for the server it runs on.

Do I need to buy a new Tally licence?

No. Your existing Tally Prime Silver or Gold licence works on the cloud server. Silver is single-user, Gold is multi-user; if several people need Tally open at once you need Gold, which is a Tally Solutions licensing matter, not a hosting one.

Is Tally on Cloud safe for my accounts data?

The server is single-tenant, inside India, behind a firewall that only accepts RDP from IPs you nominate. Data is encrypted at rest, backed up nightly with restore points you can browse, and never leaves the country. It is materially safer than a Tally sitting on an office desktop that nobody backs up.

Tally on Cloud or Tally on AWS?

AWS will sell you the same thing, in dollars, with support in a ticket queue and a bill that moves with the exchange rate. We sell it in rupees with a GST invoice, from Mumbai or Delhi, and +91 75994 50220 is answered by a person at any hour. For a business running one Tally server, the managed option is almost always cheaper once your time is counted.

Can my CA access it too?

Yes. Create a separate Windows user for your accountant, give them their own RDP credentials, and revoke them when the engagement ends. You can see who is logged in at any time.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You take it. We hand over the company data folder and a final backup, and the server is wiped. Data on a cancelled service is retained for 7 days and then permanently deleted — see the privacy policy.

Can I print to my office printer?

Yes. RDP passes local printers through, so invoices print on the printer next to you, not in the data centre. Local drive redirection works the same way for importing and exporting files.

How long does setup take?

Usually the same working day. We provision the Windows instance, install Tally Prime, restore your existing company data from a backup you send us, and hand over RDP credentials. Call 7599450220 in the morning and you are normally working on it by evening.

What if the internet at my office goes down?

Tally on Cloud needs a connection, which is its one real trade-off against a desktop install. A basic broadband line is enough — RDP is light — and most customers keep a mobile hotspot as fallback. The server itself is covered by the 99.9% SLA.
